The story:

BERLIN LIKE A LOCAL is a young and innovative tourism company, born from the meeting in 2016 from Alice and Eric.

We are seasoned adopted Berliners, both established and living in Berlin for many years. We are particularly keen to share our experiences, knowledge and true passion for Berlin.

The ingredients:

We are globetrotters and business travelers
An artist and a tour guide
A sales manager in IT solutions
A web and mobile app designer and developer
Organizers of guided tours, travelling experiences and quality events
Entrepreneurs and the founders of BERLIN LIKE A LOCAL.

Have backpack, will travel… BERLIN LIKE A LOCAL is the evolution of our passion for backpacking and exploration, on and off the beaten track and we feel the best way of sharing our wanderlust.
Eric Quatreville Berlin like a local


My name is Eric. After studying in Germany, I spent several years living in London, Paris and Barcelona. I moved to Berlin in 2010 and I am not planning on leaving anytime soon.

I stepped down from my position as European Business Manager for a US software company to follow my passion and create BERLIN LIKE A LOCAL.

Getting to know me a little:

  • I first came to Berlin when the wall still separated the city into east and west.
  • I am an avid sportsman and love living life to the max.
  • English, French, Spanish, or German… you pick!
  • My interests include history, ecology and exploring new technologies.
  • My friends tell me I have an outgoing and curious nature wrapped in a dynamic personality.
  • I developed my passion for travel and my backpacking chops hiking through Andalusia, Scotland, Laos, Patagonia, Peru and Ethiopia.

I am Alice, love art, culture, technologies, design and traveling.

I have studied fine Arts in France and at University of Sorbonne, I specialized in Information Technologies applied to the field of Art.  Programming became the cornerstone my artistic endeavors.

Then I left for a position at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles. My appetite for discovery was still left wanting and my attention turned then to back to Berlin.  With its creative environment and profusion of artists.

What do I hear most often? That my smile is generous, that I can be a little “nerdy” from time to time and that I ask a lot of questions. (A definite asset in our business!)

My focus is the development of stimulating and enriching content.  With BERLIN LIKE A LOCAL, I use my IT skills to promote creativity, respect and knowledge.

BERLIN LIKE A LOCAL is the result of our entrepreneurial spirit, the pooling of personal and professional experiences, as well as our diverse and complementary skills, to help you explore Berlin like a local. On and off the beaten path.
